Every effort is made to schedule an appointment within 1 week of your initial phone consultation.

Many people feel anxious about their first session and that’s okay! During this time, we will review your intake form (which will be completed prior to appointment) as you start to share your story, discuss your goals and what you would like to see change. You are the expert here. We are establishing a therapeutic relationship that will become the foundation for working together. You will begin to figure out some goals; I will begin to figure out how to help you get there.

Yes, I offer telehealth throughout the states of California, Florida and South Carolina on a HIPAA secure video platform. Many people love this option for the flexibility and convenience.

I integrate a combination of evidence-based practices and mindfulness approaches in my psychotherapy work. Theoretical orientations that are often helpful for my clients include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Self-Compassion.

Ultimately, it is important we work together to tailor sessions for your unique needs. Let’s find what works for YOU.

No, I am not a medical doctor or psychiatrist. Many clients find medication is helpful, but many also progress well in therapy without medication. If you want to be evaluated for psychiatric medication, either contact your primary care physician or a psychiatrist. If you are already taking medication, I can coordinate care with your doctor or work in conjunction with your psychiatrist.

While supporting women’s mental health is my focus, I am also open to working with males, gender neutral, non-binary, agender folks, etc.  Freiburg Therapy is an LGBTQIA ally.

Appointments are 50 minutes, which is the standard length of a therapy session. Ongoing sessions are $190 and the intake session is $225.

You may pay for services with most major credit or debit cards. This will be done through a HIPAA compliant app for hassle-free payments.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) cards are also accepted.

I am not a participating provider with any health insurance plans. Full payment is due at the time of service. I can however be used as an Out of Network provider for most PPO plans. You can request a detailed record of payment (“super bill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How much different insurance providers cover varies widely. Please contact your provider to verify if and how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services from an LMFT. If you are seeking support related to perinatal mental health you will also want to ask about reimbursement for services with a certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist as well.

*Please note that providing a “superbill” means I will need to make a mental health diagnosis.
